Twin Bridge Road Bridge Replacement Project

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is planning to replace Bridge No. 04861 carrying Twin Bridge Road over Iron Stream in Guilford. A virtual public informational meeting was held July 9, 2026, to inform residents about the project and gather feedback. The project aims to improve safety for all roadway users through designing a replacement structure. Right-of-way impacts are not anticipated. Construction is expected to start spring 2029, depending on funding, right-of-way acquisition, and permits. The estimated cost is $5 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
